Jen's Top 10 Songs Runaway (Del Shannon) Del really makes you feel his emotion. I don't know anyone who doesn't sing along when it is playing. Achilles Last Stand (Led Zeppelin) The layers of music that most people wouldn't even think of playing. Total power with Bonham pushing it to full throttle. Like a Hurricane (Neil Young) From the moment you hear the first note, that's Neil! An excellent songwriter who can really rock. Walk Don't Run (The Ventures) A great instrumental! Perfect twang & reverb! Who doesn't love this one? Ecstacy (Rusted Root) One of those songs you have to crank up the volume on. Up tempo accoustic lead combined with latin-tribal percussions. Nice! Letting You Go (Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers) From my favorite album of all time, Hard Promises. Nuff Said! One Last Kiss (The J. Geils Band) Great melody combined with a hooking riff. I never get tired of hearing it. Run Through The Jungle (Creedence Clearwater Revival) Swamp music at it's best. Great intro, kind of a gritty and erie feel to it. J.C. at his best! My Back Pages (The Byrds) Written by Bob Dylan. Reborn and saved by the Byrds. McGuinn's vocals and Rickenbacker 12 string totally make this track a classic. Band on the Run (Wings) Fantastic song from "Band on the Run", arguably the best post album released by any of the fab four. |
